Welcome to Plethus
Why Plethus?
Plethus is a new kind of politics website. Where other political sites
provide newsfeeds, or forum facilities, Plethus has been designed to
enable users to interact in a more intelligent manner; we like to think
it’s the website John Humphreys would use.
If you share our views that:
1) politics affects us all and
2) is far more important than just casting a vote once every few years
and
3) there is a need for a new platform which allows informed opinion
from a wide spectrum to contribute to the world of political ideas,
then -

The Plethus interactive website is based around the following
departments:
CULTURE, SPORT and MEDIA
JUSTICE
EDUCATION
HEALTH
DEFENCE
TRANSPORT and COMMUNICATIONS
ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT and CLIMATE CHANGE
EMPLOYMENT and PENSIONS
FOREIGN AFFAIRS
ECONOMY and TAXATION
AGRICULTURE and FOOD
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY and INDUSTRY
WELFARE and HOUSING
Within these departments, you will be able to express your
ideas and form them into proposals for other members of the site to
vote on.
You will also be able to construct a profile page, to share with other
users your core principles, and through which you can see how your proposals
are being commented upon by other site members.
There will be the facility to form two types of groups – one based around
a single particular interest, the other along the lines of a political
party.
Plethus will take the format of online debating to a new level through
innovative software which allows much greater interactivity than any
existing forum or instant messaging system.
